TURKS AND CAICOS NATIONAL TRUST IS RECIPIENT OF 2020 CALENDAR COVER Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands (Wednesday, January 29, 2020) – The Turks and Caicos National Trust is the recipient of this year’s framed FortisTCI calendar cover. The presentation was made on Tuesday, January 28, at Cheshire Hall Planation in Providenciales. The 2020 calendar theme is “The Colors of the Turks and Caicos Islands” and features the TCI National Costume, national heritage sites, national symbols and the beautiful variety the Turks and Caicos Islands (TCI) has to offer. As a long-term partner, FortisTCI recognizes and appreciates the vital work the Turks and Caicos National Trust does to protect, preserve and promote the country’s heritage sites. To complete the calendar, the company collaborated with former Director of Culture and designer of the TCI National Costume David Bowen. He is also responsible for the development of the colors that represent the countries islands and cays. FortisTCI President and CEO Eddinton Powell and Senior Vice President of Corporate Services and CFO Ruth Forbes presented framed calendar covers to Director of the National Trust Winema Sanders-Penn, and cultural partner David Bowen. “It gives me great pleasure to unveil the 2020 FortisTCI calendar and acknowledge the work of the National Trust and others who do so much to safeguard the history, culture and heritage of the TCI. We do our best at FortisTCI to find ways of promoting TCI, by highlighting those things that make the Turks and Caicos so special. This year’s calendar titled – The Colors of the Turks and Caicos Islands – does just that, and features all of the inhabited islands and cays,” Mr. Powell stated.
