PPC Installs Automated Meter Reading System

PPC Installs Automated Meter Reading System 11Jul 2008

Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands, July 11th, 2008 - PPC Ltd. is in its final stage of installation of an Automated Meter Reading (AMR) System. This system will enable an automated and streamlined meter reading process, and will provide the most accurate billing system available. Meter readings will be easier, the new system completely eliminating the need to enter the customer's premises. According to Allan Robinson, VP Customer & Corporate Service "the installation of the AMR system is part of the company's ongoing goal to improve Customer Service, and reduce the number of billing enquiries, re-reads and missed-reads. The customer can easily consult the digital meters if there are any discrepancies. In the final analysis, our plan is to provide this very valuable tool to empower our customers and help them understand energy use at home, while taking PPC's performance to optimum levels."
Installation of the system will continue throughout Leeward Highway, Discovery Bay, Juba Sound, Long Bay and Leeward Palms. In addition to installing the new system, PPC intends to replace and retrofit meters at these locations. The system changeover will only affect residential and small business customers. During the installation process, customers may experience a brief power interruption. PPC hopes to accomplish this installation with minimum inconvenience to our customers. For more information on this system and its benefits contact PPC's Customer Service department at 946-4313.
