Provo Power Company (PPC) Ltd. Announces Staff Promotions

Provo Power Company (PPC) Ltd. Announces Staff Promotions 10Dec 2008

PPC Ltd continues to strengthen its organization, improve internal processes and its overall customer service through ongoing staff training and development. The company encourages the growth and advancement of its employees and rewards their hard work and dedication.  For this reason, management is happy to announce the promotion of the following employees:

Glenda Stone is the new Controller of Credit and Revenue Protection in the Customer Service's department. Glenda began with PPC in 2000 as an Accountant in the Finance Department, and was later promoted to Financial Accountant, a position she held until her recent promotion. Glenda credits the courses and seminars that she has attended during her eight-years with the company for her success.

Durrel Landy began with the company as an apprentice Linesman in 2001 and through his hard work and dedication was promoted to Line Foreman. Durrel is the new Superintendent of Operations for North & Middle Caicos. He has completed numerous courses and training seminars including PPC's Journeyman and Linesman four-year course, Metering Technicians Course and Electronic Engineering at the American Technical Institute.

Thomas Wilson was promoted to Technical Assistant at the Providenciales Branch location. Thomas who has worked with the company for over 20 years, has attended many training programs and has also trained with the Florida Power Corporation in their Lineman Skills Training Program. Thomas has worked as a Senior Linesman, as well as a Foreman in North Caicos.

"PPC's goal is to encourage the advancement of more Belongers to reach the top positions of the company" according to Judith Missick, Human Resources Manager. "By motivating and rewarding employees to rise within their ranks, the company will become the centre and source of excellence".
