Provo Power Company (PPC) Ltd Parent Company Donates to Special Kids 23Feb 2008

Providenciales, Turks & Caicos Islands (Wednesday, February 23, 2008) - Fortis Inc, the Parent Company for Provo Power Company (PPC) Ltd has donated $2,000 to the Special Needs Association of Providenciales (SNAP), a non-profit organization catering to kids with mental and physical challenges.   
PPC Ltd employees selected SNAP because of the important work that the organization is doing to motivate and improve the lives of the kids. Chester Smith, President of SNAP and Kendra Parker were on hand to receive the check. The president of SNAP spoke very passionately about the program, and said "We are working very hard to create a better environment and would like to keep the facility open daily. We would like to encourage other companies to follow PPC's lead." Chester expressed his deepest appreciation to PPC and to Fortis Inc who had opted to make this kind of donation to a charity in each country where it does business in lieu of the traditional Christmas cards.

P.P. C. Limited (PPC) and Atlantic Equipment & Power Limited (Atlantic) became a wholly owned subsidiary of Fortis Inc located in Newfoundland Canada in August 2006.
