Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands (Thursday, August 16, 2018) - FortisTCI is honoured to receive the ISO 22301:2012 Certification for its Business Continuity Management System earning the accreditation from leading standards organizations British Standards Institution (BSI), ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board (ANAB), and United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) Management Systems. FortisTCI is the first utility company in the Caribbean region to be certified by BSI.

Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands (Thursday, August 2, 2018) - Global independent credit rating agency Standard & Poor's (S&P) announced on Friday, July 27, 2018, that it is maintaining a 'BBB' global corporate rating for FortisTCI Limited (the "Company"). However, the agency said, "We are revising our outlook to negative from stable on weaker financial metrics following Hurricane Irma last year."

Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands (Thursday, June 7, 2018) - FortisTCI announces a formal partnership with the Turks and Caicos Islands Government (TCIG) for the installation of closed circuit television (CCTV) camera equipment on utility poles in Providenciales. As a part of the joint agreement signed on Tuesday, June 5, TCIG will pay for the energy usage of the cameras and FortisTCI will waive all pole attachment fees over the next three years.

Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands (Thursday, May 24, 2018) - FortisTCI is pressing ahead with the integration of solar power generation in the TCI, recently commissioning two grid-tied photovoltaic (PV) systems in Providenciales in partnership with Global Management Co. Ltd, also known as Aircool. Together, the two PV systems equal approximately 250KW spanning 20,000 square feet of rooftop space and were installed by local contractor Green Revolution.

Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands (Thursday, May 3, 2018) - A new Wärtsilä generator arrived at FortisTCI's Providenciales site on Leeward Highway today, the first phase of the company's generation expansion program outlined in its Integrated Resource Plan (IRP). The purchase ensures that FortisTCI is prepared to meet projected growth in electricity demand from 2019, and into the future. Having a world-class electricity system gives the Turks and Caicos Islands a competitive advantage for inward investment.

Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands (Thursday, April 19, 2018) - FortisTCI recently landed the first electric car in the Turks and Caicos Islands (TCI) as part of the company's electric vehicle (EV) and charging station pilot program. The program includes a six-to-12 month feasibility study that will provide insight into this new technology for interested customers in the TCI.
