Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands (Thursday, November 16, 2017) FortisTCI (the Company) is sending a five-member crew from the Turks and Caicos Islands to assist with the restoration of electricity in Dominica, the Company announced today. It was in mid-September that Hurricane Maria, a destructive category 5 storm, wreaked havoc on the country, destroying infrastructure, demolishing homes and killing more than 25 people.

Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands (Tuesday, November 7, 2017) FortisTCI announced today that electricity is now restored to all customers throughout the Turks and Caicos Islands that can currently receive it, bringing to a close all major electricity restoration efforts related to Hurricanes Irma and Maria. This announcement comes shortly after final work on rebuilding sections of the transmission and distribution networks on Grand Turk and Salt Cay, two of the hardest hit islands, concluded yesterday.

Dear Customers, Considering the widespread damages caused by Hurricanes Irma and Maria to properties in the Turks and Caicos Islands, FortisTCI Limited (FortisTCI) along with the Energy and Utilities Commissioner and the Director Planning have given special consideration and agreed that in the interest of safety for all customers, contractors, linesman and servicemen, all properties that have damages must be inspected by the Government Planning Department before electricity can be reconnected.

FORTISTCI UPDATE: RESTORATION EFFORTS AND PROVO SCHEDULE Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands (Wednesday, October 4, 2017) Less than one month since the passing of Hurricane Irma, FortisTCI (the Company) has restored electricity to nearly 7,000 customers across the Turks and Caicos Islands (TCI), currently meeting a system demand of 22MW or 57% of the Company's peak demand for electricity.

Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands (Monday, September 25, 2017) FortisTCI (the Company) announced today that there are no additional major damages to the electricity infrastructure across the Turks and Caicos Islands (TCI) as a result of Hurricane Maria. Additionally, only minor outages occurred during the passing of the storm, impacting very few of the nearly 4,000 customers whose electricity was restored following Hurricane Irma.
